Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage and local Fingal TD, Darragh O’Brien, was delighted to visit Ballymastone in Donabate today where 1200 homes are to be built with the Government funding both social and affordable homes.

Minister O’Brien commented, “Housing for All is a radical and realistic plan, one which puts in place achievable targets and time-frames, backed by never before seen levels of funding. Through this plan, the government aims to see 33,000 homes built each year.

“From the outset, the vision for this particular site in Ballymastone included the provision of high quality homes, with a range of house sizes, types and tenure to meet a variety of household needs and to promote balanced communities with accessible community and recreation facilities.

“Donabate is a beautiful seaside village with so much to offer new residents. I’ve worked closely with the local representatives in the area and want to thank them, and indeed Fingal County Council for their work and determination in progressing this project.’
