Jim O'Callaghan TD
Meet Jim
Jim has been a TD since 2016. He was appointed as Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration in January 2025. He has introduced many Bills in the Dáil, including the Parole Act 2019. He lives in Ranelagh with his family. Jim played rugby to a high level, representing UCD, Cambridge University, London Irish, Wanderers, Leinster and Connacht at senior level. He also represented Ireland at under-21 level. He holds degrees in Law from UCD, Cambridge University and the King’s Inns.
