Our Message
-
Everyone who lives in our country deserves to feel safe in their homes and communities. Our Gardaí play such a critical role in this.
-
Measures taken in the last year are ensuring that the number of Gardaí working in the community is maximised, and to further support Gardaí in 2027, funding will be allocated to recruit up to 1,000 trainees, bringing our force to over 15,000 next year.
-
Budget 2027 will also see record investment to strengthen public safety, confront domestic, sexual and gender-based violence and to continue reforming Ireland's asylum and migration laws.
