Commenting following her selection to contest the forthcoming Local Elections, Fianna Fáil candidate in Tallaght South, Fiona Nolan said, “I am exceptionally proud to have been born and raised in Springfield, Tallaght and now for each of my four children to grow up in the same community.

“As a local business woman, I have experienced first-hand the variety of challenges that face those who are self-employed and who have had the courage to pursue an entrepreneurial idea. While establishing my own business, Elysium Beauty Clinic, I have become passionate about how our Local Authority can connect with business owners in a meaningful way.

“Operating a business in the area over the past 20 years has also given me the opportunity to interact with residents and members of the public about the issues most affecting them. These discussions and interactions have helped shape my own view of the role of local government and the benefit it can have in an area such as ours.

“I have made the decision to contest the Local Election on Friday, May 24th because I strongly believe that as an elected member of South Dublin County Council I can advocate for the matters holding our community back. Issues such as housing, crime and anti-social behaviour, improper use of scramblers, as well as illegal dumping, high commercial rates and Local Property Tax.

“Tallaght has evolved since I grew up here and I want to continue supporting its transformation into an aspiring, prosperous and bustling place to live and work.”
