Local TD, John Curran has expressed his deepest sympathies to the families of three people who have died in an apartment fire in the Kilcronan Avenue area of Clondalkin overnight.
“I wish to express my deepest condolences to the bereaved family and friends of those who have lost their lives in this tragedy.
“I have grown up in Clondalkin all my life and this is one of the most tragic incidents to have ever occurred in the village. This loss of life in such devastating circumstances is difficult for us all in our close community to comprehend.
“My thoughts are also with the young woman who is fighting for her life at St James’s Hospital, Dublin and the young boy who has been seriously injured and being treated at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.
“It is also important to acknowledge the sterling and dedicated work of the emergency services, including Dublin Fire Brigade and the Gardaí who have again displayed enormous public service in very difficult circumstances.
“This is a very sad day for the people of Clondalkin but in particular for the family, friends and loved ones of those who have lost their lives,” concluded Deputy Curran.
