Fianna Fáil spokesperson on Arts, Culture & Heritage and TD for Cavan-Monaghan, Niamh Smyth, will host a public consultation as she formulates a policy paper on Arts Education and Arts in Education.
Deputy Smyth has held several consultations throughout the country and will be hosting the final one in her own constituency of Cavan-Monaghan.
She commented, “I am delighted to be able to finalise the public consultation element of this policy proposal in Cavan-Monaghan. Our constituency has a rich history in the Arts and has contributed to the cultural history of Ireland.
“Input into this policy paper from communities and stakeholders in the Arts is vital. I look forward to hearing their views from Cavan, Monaghan, and North Meath.
“We will be joined on the evening by Professor Gary Granville, Professor Emeritus of Education at the National College of Art and Design who will facilitate the debate on the night.
“I would encourage all with an interest to attend,” she concluded.
