Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Arts and Heritage Niamh Smyth is undertaking a major review of policy for the arts. Fianna Fáil believes the arts are an essential part of all our lives, enriching and empowering us in a democratic society. Access to and participation in the arts must be available to all citizens.
Niamh has a particular commitment to the role of education in the arts – from early childhood to mature adulthood; embracing school, out-of-school, community and voluntary activities.
Niamh is embarking on a series of regional consultations where she is meeting and listening to a wide range of people working in the arts. Meetings are planned for Dublin, Cavan, Galway, Kildare, and Cork in the coming weeks.
If you would like to attend one of these sessions, please contact Niamh at firstname.lastname@example.org If you are unable to attend, but have ideas or suggestions that you would like to share, please do so by emailing Niamh at the same address.
