Margaret Murphy O’Mahony TD

TD for Cork South West. Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Disability

Meet Margaret

I was elected to Dáil Éireann in February 2016 and since then I have worked tirelessly for the people in Cork South West. I have offices in Bandon, Bantry and Skibbereen and hold monthly clinics right across the constituency.

I also make myself available for house calls to discuss issues at a time that suits you.

I am married to Paddy O’ Mahony and we have two sons, John and Philip.

I have a deep love for West Cork and sincerely hope to continue serving you in Dail Eireann.

My Priorities

➡️ Ensure that Home care packages are brought into a statutory footing as is the case with Fair Deal.

➡️ Ensure that the rehabilitation unit and endoscopy unit for Bantry General Hospital are delivered.

➡️ Housing: increasing availability and affordability.

➡️ Environment: pragmatic responses to tackling climate change, illegal dumping and protecting our natural environment.

➡️ Childcare: Increased availability with a focus on affordability for all.

➡️ Continue advocating for free Medical Cards for all children with special needs.

➡️ Improved infrastructure: roads, lighting, broadband and phone connectivity.

➡️ Promote tourism in our area and lobby for increased supports for local suppliers.

➡️ Prioritising supports for the farming and fishing industries to ensure sustainable growth.

➡️ Better job creation.
