James Browne TD

Meet James

James was born in Enniscorthy, Wexford, and is the oldest of a family of 4. He was educated locally at St. Mary’s CBS, Enniscorthy before attending college at Waterford IT, University College Cork and the King’s Inns. He is a qualified Barrister.

As the Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Mental Health, he has led initiatives to reform mental health services in Ireland, including the Mental Health (Amendment) Act 2018 and the Oireachtas committee on the Future of Mental Healthcare.

Since his election to Dáil Éireann in 2016 he has been working hard as a local TD raising the concerns and issues of the people of Wexford.

It is a great privilege for James to be a public representative in Dáil Éireann and he looks forward to continuing his work in the constituency at both a local and a national level.
