Meet Dara

A native of Ballina, Dara has been serving the people of Mayo in Leinster House as Teachta Dála since first being elected at the 2007 General Election.

In April 2009 Dara was appointed Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment with responsibility for Labour Affairs.

In March 2010 Dara was appointed Minister of State at the Department of An Taoiseach and the Department of Finance with responsibility for Public Service Transformation.

Dara was re-elected to Dáil Éireann in February 2011 and 2016 serving as Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Justice, Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation and most recently Public Expenditure & Reform.

In March 2018, Dara was appointed Deputy Leader of Fianna Fáil and Director of Policy Development.
