Michael Sheehan is the current Chairman of Wexford County Council and a first time candidate to the Dáil.
Born in January 1973, he is the youngest of a family of seven from New Ross town. He emigrated to New York on completion of his Leaving Cert to work & study before returning home in 1997. Educated to Masters level, Michael was first elected as a public representative in 1999.
He brings twenty years’ experience of local community development to the political table. Not a man of promises rather a man with plans to deliver, Michael is articulate, determined and accessible with a full time advice clinic locally.
He believes the improved access to quality education and early childcare services, the creation of sustainable jobs, the speedy provision of social housing and better health services across the board are essential. His campaign motto ‘The Same Won’t Do’ drives his ambition to be the hardworking TD South Wexford so badly needs now, not in the future.
