Meet Ed

Ed is a lifetime resident of Lucan and was elected to South Dublin County Council in May 2014 representing the Lucan/Palmerstown ward. Educated in St. Mary’s BNS, Lucan, Colaiste Phadraig, Lucan and UCD, Ed is a qualified solicitor and runs his own practice in Lucan Village.

He is an active member of the South Dublin Chamber of Commerce, previously chairing the Chamber’s Business to Business networking group. After his election he was nominated to and has taken his place on South Dublin’s Joint Policing Committee. He is also a member of South Dublin County Council’s Environment Strategic Policy Committee and Commemorations Committee which was charged with overseeing South Dublin’s commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Rising.

Ed has constantly involved himself with local groups in Lucan, most prominent amongst those has been Lucan Sarsfields GAA club, whom he has served as a player, coach and executive member.
