Norma is a county councillor having been elected to Kerry County Council in May 2014. She came to politics as a result of over twenty years of committed community activism and that commitment to community underpins all she does as a public representative.
Norma is a secondary school teacher by profession and teaches English and Learning Support in Kenmare. She is a member of Kerry Education and Training Board and chairperson of Kerry Local Community Development Committee.
Norma’s priorities include improving education, increasing employment, reducing waiting lists in hospitals, increasing rural services, reducing crime and investing in broadband, roads and housing.
