Originally a native of Leitrim, I have been living with my family in Kildare for over 20 years. From a young age I was actively involved in politics and joined the Sligo IT Fianna Fáil Cumann in ’89 whilst at college. Moving to Kildare, I was inspired by the community spirit and immediately volunteered my support. I served as the Director of Elections for Kildare North for the 2007 elections.
Aside from my council work, I am employed by Irish Tar and Bitumen Suppliers acting as Head of Operations. I have worked with this organisation since 1997. I am a keen sports fan following Hurling and Gaelic football.
I am a family man, living in Celbridge with my wife and daughter. I understand the many challenges that families are facing in the current climate and am committed to working with the communities of Kildare North to secure the best possible support and improvements for our communities.
I am traditional in my approach and prefer to meet with community members face to face to gain a true insight into their issues and ideas. I believe that I can better represent the needs of the community when I understand it from the perspectives of many. With this in mind, please do not hesitate to contact me to arrange an appointment.
