Frank Kennedy was elected to Dublin City Council in May 2014 to represent the Pembroke-South Dock ward, which includes Ballsbridge, Donnybrook, Irishtown, Merrion, Milltown, Pearse St, Portobello, Ringsend and Sandymount.
Frank is 31 years old and from Sandymount, where he continues to live. He went to school at Muckross Park Primary and St. Conleth’s College, and then studied Law at UCD, the University of Toulouse and Oxford University.
Frank works as a barrister. Prior to being elected he also taught in the Law School at TCD. Previously he worked in Washington, DC as an intern for Senator Ted Kennedy. He also worked for a year in Washington with the US-Ireland Alliance.
Since being elected Frank has pursued many issues on behalf of his constituents including the need to construct proper flood defence mechanisms, the inadequate waste management regime, the shortage of primary school places and the major housing crisis affecting Dublin.
