David Costello is a 31-year-old health professional working in the Mater Hospital. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin and Dublin Institute of Technology, David has worked in the Mater hospital as a medical physicist for 8 years and as an occasional lecturer in the UCD School of Medicine for the last three. David is the chairman of a large not-for-profit community childcare centre in Finglas south and is also involved in many community activities including local policing forums, community councils, tidy towns and summer projects.
David lives and works in the Cabra-Finglas area and is a firm believer in the power of community. In a challenging climate he wants to put his skills and experience to work for the people of his area. Since his appointment as a Fianna Fáil local representative in 2012 he has worked with and supported a diverse range of groups, organizations and individuals enabling volunteerism and engagement across our community.
David is committed to working for his area, and is looking forward to listening, organizing and campaigning on issues, which matter to our community and the people who live here.

David Costello was elected to Dublin City Council on the 24th of May 2014 where he serves as a Fianna Fáil Councillor for the Cabra – Finglas electoral area.
As a member of the Council he has been appointed to the Housing strategic policy group and the North East Regional Health Forum.
