Political Record
Re-elected to Wexford Co. Council in May 2014, I served as Cathaoirleach of Enniscorthy Municipal District 2014-2015. I am an experienced County Councillor and have been involved in delivering essential community facilities and infrastructure, including a new library and fire station and the completion of the sewerage scheme to benefit the entire Bunclody area.
I am particularly interested in supporting employment creation by through tourism initiatives and being imaginative in finding ways to support the economic development of rural towns and villages. Access to Broadband is as important as electricity supply, must be as dependable and available to every home and business.
Rural Ireland needs to be supported through the continued provision of essential services such as Post Offices, Garda Stations, Ambulance Services and a roads budget sufficient to allow ongoing repair and replacement of county roads in a county that depends socially, economically and educationally on road transport.
