Jack Ryan - Gaeilge & Culture Officer
Seán Ó Riain is ainm dom. Is as Rachra i gContae Uíbh Fhailí mé. My name is Jack and I’m from Shannonbridge, Co. Offaly. I am currently studying business in DCU. I am the Cathaoirleach of the Pádraig Pearse Cumann in DCU, as well as of Offaly Ógra. I am from a proud Fianna Fáil family, that is also steeped in the GAA within Offaly. As an avid member of the GAA, I currently serve in a variety of positions at club, college and county level.

My hope is that together as an organisation, we can collectively play a role in the promotion of the Irish language whilst simultaneously improving our own understanding and fluency of it. As the saying goes: “a rising tide lifts all boats”. It’s also important to acknowledge the role of culture. There are many intricacies and aspects to this, especially on our island. The role of the Irish and Cultural Officer brings together many aspects of Irish life and history including language, music, sport and literature among others.

I look forward to help in the promotion of these areas within the organisation, alongside the input of members.

Ógra Fianna Fáil is a wonderful organisation with no shortage of fantastic and knowledgeable members. It is a true honour to represent these people at a Central Officer Board level.

Up the Irregulars!

Ar aghaidh le Fianna Fáil.
