Damien Biggins - Connacht-Ulster Organiser

Dia dhaoibh a chairde, my name is Damien Biggins and I am a graduate of DCU with a BA in Economics, Politics & Law and an MSc in Public Policy. I live in South County Mayo, in a town called Ballinrobe and have been involved in Fianna Fáil and Ógra Fianna Fáil for many years now. I have held a number of positions within the organisation over my time in Ógra, such as treasurer and OCM in DCU’s Pádraig Pearse Cumann and I am currently serving as the chairperson of Mayo Ógra.

Since my election to the role of Connacht/Ulster Organiser, I am working hard to grow and establish our Cumainn in our region. Recruitment and retention of members is a key focus of mine and I hope to keep up the continued growth in our area. As organiser, I want to encourage as many young people as possible to get involved with Ógra and when the time comes; go out and support their local candidates and public representatives during election time.

During my time in office, I am excited to work with members, our representatives and my Central Officer Board colleagues to emphasise our republican ideals and make Connacht/Ulster the best it can be!

If anyone wants to get in contact with me or get involved with Ógra Fianna Fáil, please drop me an email and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
