Caoimhe Callan - Equality & Educational Officer
My name is Caoimhe Callan and I come from Portumna in county Galway. I am currently studying to become an occupational therapist at the University of Galway.I became an active member of Ogra Fianna Fáil when I joined the Cumann de Barra at the University of Galway. I am currently the secretary of this Cumann, and have found Ográ to be a fantastic way to meet new and interesting people. As Equality & Educational Officer I will fight for common sense solutions to the problems faced by those in education today. I will similarly advocate to make this organisation as inclusive and diverse as it can possibly be.By the end of my term I want to have established a national forum to engage third level students from across the country. This forum would be a crucial avenue for to hear the voices of Irelands students in higher education. Equally, I want to ensure that every single Ográ event is wheelchair accessible, and has a quiet space available for members who may have sensory needs. This is of paramount importance to making Ográ a truly inclusive organisation, and one for an Ireland for All.
