My name is Brian Hubbard and I am delighted to be working on the Central Officer Board as your Ógra Press Officer. I am from Newmarket in North County Cork, and I am currently a third-year student of Government and Political Science at University College Cork. I have been a member of Fianna Fáil since 2022, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time so far in the organisation. I attended my first Ógra event not knowing anyone in the party, and today I am proud to say I have friends in Ógra from all four corners of the country.
As Press Officer, I am responsible for Ógra's communications and media output. I work closely with my fellow COB officers to create and publish content, ensuring that Ógra’s message reaches young people across Ireland. I also help to promote Ógra’s policies and initiatives, making sure that our public image remains one grounded in our values and beliefs.
I have previously been involved with the Irish Second-Level Students Union, serving terms on both their Regional Officer Body and Monitoring and Advisory Committee. I am actively engaged in a range of debating and political societies at UCC, most notably the Donagh O’Malley Cumann of Ógra Fianna Fáil.
