Fianna Fáil Local Area Representative for the Greater Glanmire Area, Pádraig O’ Sullivan, has called on Cork County Council to urgently address the terrible conditions of rural roads in the Knockraha area.
“I was taken on a tour of the roads in the area surrounding Knockraha village last weekend where he I was astonished to find the roads in such a state of disrepair.”
Mr O’ Sullivan, who is seeking election to Cork County Council in the Cobh Electoral Area next May, an electoral area that incorporates Knockraha, Carrigtohill and Glanmire, as well as Cobh, was contacted by residents of the Knockraha area.  “They have become disillusioned with the condition of their local roads. Many have complained of damage to their vehicles and their farming machinery on the Knockraha East and Ballingohig roads. I am compiling a list of the worst affected areas to submit to the County Council as a matter of urgency, local people have found the matter to be extremely frustrating and are seeking a safe and durable road surface in the area.”
