Fianna Fáil TD for Cavan-Monaghan and North Meath, Niamh Smyth, has reminded constituents that her offices are open and willing to assist all those who have expressed concern about the imminent closures of Ulster Bank branches in the locality.

Deputy Smyth said, "I have received a large number of calls in recent weeks from pensioners concerned about the imminent closures of Ulster Bank branches in this area. Many of these callers have their pension payments going into these accounts which are due to close.

"I have contacted the State Pensions Department and I have been advised that a form is available which must be completed and returned to the Pensions Department notifying them that you are changing your payment from Ulster Bank to another preferred bank account.

"If you require this form or any assistance with this issue, please don't hesitate to get in contact with my office in either Cavan or Monaghan which you can reach at the below numbers. "
