Fine Gael increased prescription charges five fold – Fitzpatrick
Fianna Fáil general election candidate for Dublin Central Mary Fitzpatrick has accused Fine Gael of gross hypocrisy by promising to cut prescription charges.
“In 2011 James Reilly promised to abolish prescription charges instead Fine Gael increased them five-fold.
“Assuming that it was the same in 2015 as 2014, there has been €383m taken from medical card holders since FG promised to abolish the charges.
“More broken promises.”
