Naas Mayor Cllr James Lawless welcomed the Irish Business Against Litter results showing Naas caming out as the cleanest town in Co. Kildare. The IBAL results released today show the county town finishing 12th overall in the national rankings. IBAL is a business backed initiative which looks to promote the cleanliness of towns in order to promote tourism, FDI and indigenous business.
Speaking about the news, Cllr Lawless said that “this is a great positive result for Naas town. It’s a credit to Naas Tidy Towns as well as the many other community and business groups who have worked particularly hard in recent years to improve the cleanliness of town.”
“This result will be another positive with which we can promote the town and I look forward to building on this in the year ahead. Naas has a lot going for it and earning accolades such as these help the overall image of the town.”
“Special mention must also be given to Maynooth who were the most improved town on the 2014 results.”
