Fianna Fáil Senator for Meath East has today advised local community and voluntary groups in the Duleek / Carranstown area of East Meath that applications are now being accepted by Meath County Council for the Environmental Community Projects Grant Scheme 2011 from Indaver Ireland.

‘This is a really useful source of funding for many local groups and bodies in this area and I would urge them to consider applying’ said Byrne.

The maximum grant available is 60% of the capital cost of each project. Examples of eligible projects include: Amenity areas, Walking areas, Community halls and resource centres, Community arts projects, Playgrounds, Recreational facilities, Local heritage projects and Parks.

The closing date for receipt of applications is Friday, 30th September 2011 at 5pm. Application forms are available from and should be submitted to the Planning and Community Department of Meath County Council, Abbey Road, Navan.
