Leo needs to focus on facts – Ardagh

Fianna Fáil candidate for Dublin South-Central Cllr Catherine Ardagh is calling  on the Minister for Health to focus on the facts and concentrate on the crisis in the health service.

“At a time when the there are 1200 children waiting more than 12 months for an Out Patients appointment in Crumlin Hospital Leo Varadkar should avoid making personal attacks on Micheál Martin and instead take a look at his own appalling record.

“The expression ‘people who live in glass houses’ comes to mind. Children might not have votes, but their parents do and there are thousands of children around the country who have been let down by the Fine Gael/Labour government.

“At present there are also 787 children on the 12 months plus waiting list at Temple Street Hospital, this is up 4.5% from December and there are a further 695 children waiting more than 12 months for an appointment in Tallaght Hospital which is up a staggering 32.5%.

“The facts don’t lie Leo,” warned Cllr Ardagh.
