Fianna Fáil Justice spokesperson Jim O’Callaghan has condemned those who planted an explosive device in the border region which has detonated this morning.
“We in Fianna Fáil utterly condemn the actions of those who planted this explosive device in County Fermanagh. It is a deliberate act to cause harm and unsettle peace in the border region.
“It is fortunate that there are no reports of injuries or deaths following this morning’s explosion.
“We must never allow a return to violence in the border region. It is imperative that political leaders in Dublin, London, and Belfast work together to protect the Good Friday Agreement and the peace it has brought to our island.
“I would encourage anyone with information regarding this heinous act to assist the PSNI with their investigation,”.
