Fianna Fáil’s Transport spokesperson, Marc Mac Sharry TD, says that talks must resume between Ryanair and Fórsa to try avoid 48 hours of strike action from midnight on August 22nd.
He commented, “All disputes have a solution. Fórsa, the Irish Airline Pilots’ Association (IAPA) and Ryanair will not come to any agreement without communication.
“No one wins from any strike action. Be it those traveling on holiday, for business, Ryanair or the Pilots themselves. Next week’s action will cause significant hardship for all involved. It is imperative talks resume.
“I would urge all parties to return to mediation with Kieran Mulvey with an aim to averting next weeks planned strikes,” concluded Deputy Mac Sharry.
