Mayor of Bandon, Gillian Coughlan, has called on local communities to take advantage of Cork County Council’s Amenity Grant Scheme.

Cllr Coughlan commented: “Applications for Cork County Council’s Amenity Grant Scheme will close on the 30 th of September.

“This is an ideal opportunity for local residents’ groups and rural groups to avail of funding to carry out small to medium projects in their locality, which would no doubt be boosted with access to these funds.

“The types of projects eligible for funding, include Tidy Town initiatives or improving amenities/purchase of equipment for local resident associations and groups. The maximum grant for any one project is €6,348.”
