Fianna Fáil TD Niall Collins says the expected confirmation that Adare Manor is to host the Ryder Cup in 2026 is huge news for Adare and Limerick.

Deputy Collins commented, “This is great news for the village of Adare and Limerick County as a whole. Not only will it bring huge financial benefits to the area for the duration of the event, it will put Adare on the world stage and generate interest in Adare, Limerick and Ireland as a whole for years to come.

“The event will be broadcast to more than 370 million homes across the globe and will be watched not only by golf fans but by people from every walk of life. The Ryder Cup commands interest which transcends golf as people tune in to watch the continents collide.

“This decision by the European Tour and the government is a major vote of confidence in Adare Manor and the surrounding areas, and it would not have been possible without the support of locals and JP McManus himself. It’s testament to the hard work and determination of residents, businesses, and officials from the various agencies who have been engaging with the European Tour over the past number of months.

“I want to pay tribute to everyone who has been involved in the process and look forward to a hugely successful Ryder Cup in Adare in 2026”.
