Fianna Fáil Dublin City Councillor, Mary Fitzpatrick has been selected on behalf of the party to oversee the full implementation of the commitments outlined in the Dublin City Agreement 2019-2024 by working closely with both council officials and other group leaders over the next five years.

Commenting following publication of the agreement, the Cabra Glasnevin Councillor said, “I am really pleased to have been asked to lead the policy agreement for Fianna Fáil on Dublin City Council. This agreement, which has received full support from the Greens, Labour and the Social Democrats has every potential to transform our city. This is a strong grouping that I believe can achieve a great deal during the forthcoming council term.

“With the largest representation on the city council, our Fianna Fail group are focused on the issues affecting ordinary, hard-working Dubliner’s day-to-day lives. That commitment is reflected throughout this agreement and particularly surrounding its proposals for Local Property Tax.

“Dublin city has been poorly served under this Fine Gael led Government. Our aim is to reverse these failures and progress a vision for a more sustainable capital, to blossom into the major European city that Dublin has every potential to be.

“Specifically, over the next five years we will champion action on climate change, improving the current crisis in housing, strengthening our transport infrastructure, contributing to communities, nurturing culture, governance, re-establishing municipal led waste management and simplifying the planning process. I am looking forward to working with my colleagues across the city to foster a more vibrant and all-inclusive Dublin.”
