Welcome for M7 Interchange and Sallins Bypass Consultation

Published on: 13 June 2013

A public consultation has just been launched to determine the exact route of the Sallins bypass and also to consider a new M7 interchange which would connect both Sallins and Naas onto the Millenium Park ring road.

James Lawless, Fianna Fáil representative for Naas, has welcomed the consultation and says the proposals are broadly positive and the new interchange marks a step forward for the project and for traffic planning in the local area.

“The bypass would be most welcome to take through traffic off the Sallins streets, also the link up to the new interchange offers a direct route onto the motorway for both Sallins and Naas residents, given the design. I think it’s pretty positive overall and great to see some progress. Any construction work would obviously represent a stimulus to the local economy too so I would encourage all concerned to engage and help advance the project” said James.

The proposed plans are open to public inspection on Tuesday 29 th in Kildare County Council offices.
