‘I am delighted to see that significant resources have been allocated to Meath County Council to carry our important road safety works in Kells and Tankard / Garlow Cross / Ross Cross,’ said Senator Thomas Byrne.

‘€70,000 has been awarded to the local authority for the design and development of the junction of the Cavan Road and Circular Road in Kells for vulnerable road users.’

‘In addition, €180,000 has been allocated to eliminate dangerous parking on grass verges in the Tankard / Garlow Cross and Ross Cross area by installing bays and / or defined parking provisions,’ added Senator Byrne.

‘I hope to see the County Council move immediately to carry out these projects as they will make using our roads safer,’ concluded Senator Byrne.
