Senator Averil Power presents certificates at the Laneview Learning Centre, Belcamp Lane, Darndale.
Laneview is an educational centre that takes referrals from the local HSE methadone clinic located next door. Its Director Pat Hanna and his team have put together a very comprehensive education and personal development programme of 22 hours a week. This includes basic literacy classes and computer classes, horticulture training and art and drama classes in the centre. These drama classes came to fruition to-day with a wonderful performance of an excerpt from Seán O’Casey’s Dublin masterpiece “The Plough and the Stars”.
