Fianna Fáil’s Director of Elections Billy Kelleher has responded to the tsunami of backslaps and self-congratulatory remarks made by Fine Gael representatives at their conference this weekend.

Deputy Kelleher said, “With rising chaos in many areas such as health, housing and crime Fine Gael’s only answer is to desperately attempt to refight the 2011 election.

“They clearly don’t want to address or even acknowledge the fact that 1,600 children are currently sleeping in emergency accommodation or that the country’s emergency departments are in utter chaos.

“The more they talk about a risk to our future the more obvious it becomes that the biggest threat is more of Fine Gael’s neglect and limitless arrogance,” said Deputy Kelleher.
