Fianna Fáil Dublin Spokesperson Senator Darragh O’Brien has welcomed planned talks in the Dublin Bus dispute tomorrow and the resumption of bus services from tomorrow morning.
Senator O’Brien commented, “It is crucial that Dublin Bus management and unions work to resolve this dispute and I welcome the fact that both sides will enter talks at the Labour Court tomorrow. I hope that the talks will produce a meaningful resolution that both sides can work with.
“The fact that Ministers Leo Varadkar and Alan Kelly have shown a complete lack of interest in seeing this dispute resolved promptly and did nothing to avert the strike action in the first place remains a point of frustration. Dublin Bus workers, the travelling public who were left without a bus service for three days and businesses in the city expect more from government than the lack of leadership shown on this issue to date.”
