Fianna Fáil Leader Micheál Martin has announced the details of his party’s junior spokespeople, who will take responsibility for a wide range of issues from the National Drugs Strategy to Food & Horticulture.
Deputy Martin commented, “Fianna Fáil is a party with community at its core, and the portfolios I’m announcing today have community issues at their heart. The Junior Spokespeople that I have appointed represent a mix of experience and new talent, reflecting the strength and depth of the renewed Fianna Fáil team. These appointments follow on from the successful General Election campaign, which saw our Dáil representation doubled, and are indicative of the talent pool that now exists within the party.
“These spokespeople represent every sector in society and will work hard to bring important issues to the floor of the Dáil in a bid to implement real change and deliver Fianna Fáil’s vision of an Ireland for all.
“Fianna Fáil has an important role to play in this new Dáil, and every member of our Oireachtas team will be integral in driving our policies forward. I will also be naming the Party’s nominees for Chair of various Oireachtas Committees next week.”
