Fianna Fáil’s National Constituencies Committee has confirmed the addition of Lorraine Clifford Lee to the ticket in Dublin Fingal for the forthcoming General Election.
Lorraine Clifford Lee lives in Portmarnock with her husband and their young daughter. A highly active member of Fianna Fáil, Lorraine plays a key role on the party’s Ard Chomhairle and is central to efforts to boost female participation in the party at all levels.
She will join Senator Darragh O’Brien, Fianna Fáil’s Leader in the Seanad and Spokesperson on Dublin, who was selected by members at a party convention in December.
Chairman of the National Constituencies Committee Michael Moynihan TD said, “With the addition of Lorraine Clifford Lee, Fianna Fáil has an extremely strong ticket in Dublin Fingal. The party is in a very competitive position to regain our strong footing in this key Dublin constituency.
“Lorraine is a committed and highly valued member of Fianna Fáil. She joins Senator Darragh O’Brien who, along with our local council team, has built Fianna Fáil into the largest political organisation in Fingal. I know that together, Darragh and Lorraine will run a highly energetic and formidable campaign and provide excellent representation to the people of Dublin Fingal,” said Deputy Moynihan.
