Fianna Fáil Leader, Micheál Martin TD, has announced the appointment of Padraic Vallely as a Local Area Representative for the Carrigaline – Ballincollig local electoral area for the local elections 2014.
The new electoral area, which was announced by the local electoral committee in May, includes towns and villages such as: Ballincollig, Ballinhassig, Carrigaline, Donnybrook, Douglas, Frankfield, Grange, Monkstown, Passage West, Ringaskiddy, Rochestown, Togher Rural, Waterfall and Wilton.
Deputy Martin said: “I am delighted to announce that Padraic Vallely has joined the Fianna Fáil team in Cork. Padraic is part of the new wave of young people that have joined Fianna Fáil with a view to shaping politics in Ireland for the next 20 years.
Deputy Martin added: “By ensuring there is a strong team on the ground in all communities, Fianna Fáil can deliver on this pledge. It is in this context that we are appointing Padraic Vallely as a Local Area Representative, he has the drive, ability and commitment required to deliver at a high standard.
“Fianna Fáil is committed playing a constructive and positive role in politics by bringing forward policies that directly address the issues and concerns people face.”
Speaking after his appointment Padraic said: “I am delighted to be chosen by the party as a Local Area Representative for the Carrigaline – Ballincollig local electoral area.

I want to be a voice of reason when representing the people in the Carrigaline – Ballincollig electoral area.
