Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Health and Wicklow TD, Stephen Donnelly is brining together a group of Student’s Union Presidents from across the country to discuss issues relating to education, housing, health and Brexit.

Deputy Donnelly said it that was important to get the perspective of the Student Unions in order to bring forward real and meaningful solutions to the various crisis that exist within each of the sectors.

He explained, “Student Union Presidents from 17 colleges and Universities around the country will come to Leinster House tomorrow to participate in various sessions and briefings along with Fianna Fáil Party colleagues.

“At the heart of this idea is an appreciation that policy makers in the bubble of Leinster House cannot and do not have all the answers. By holding these discussions, we have a real opportunity to speak to people who have their finger on the pulse and their ear to the ground.

“Colleges and Universities are a hotbed of ideas and solutions – it’s time we as legislators appreciate it and tap into it”, he concluded.
