Councillor Cormac Devlin has been selected to contest the General Election for Fianna Fáil in the Dun Laoghaire constituency.
Over 130 party members voted at the selection convention at the Fitzpatrick Killiney Castle Hotel in Dun Laoghaire this evening. The convention was chaired by Senator Thomas Byrne. Three candidates were nominated: Cllr Devlin, Cllr Kate Feeney and Cllr Mary Hanafin.
Cllr Devlin is serving his third successive term on Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, having been first elected as the youngest ever member of the council in 2004. He is the Fianna Fáil Whip on the Council, Chairman of Council’s Environment, Climate Change & Energy Policy Committee and Vice-Chairman of the Southside Partnership. He lives in Dun Laoghaire with his wife and three children.
