Fianna Fáil Senator for Meath, Thomas Byrne is urging all community groups and resident’s associations in the county to apply for the Lawnmover / Strimmer and Amenity Grants Scheme currently being offered by Meath County Council. 
‘This is an important scheme for local groups that provides a contribution towards the upkeep of the local area and to purchase equipment to help them achieve that aim’ said Senator Thomas Byrne.
Applications must be received by the Environment and Water Services Department of Meath County Council by 4pm on the 30th March 2012. Application forms can be obtained via the www.meath.ie website or alternatively through my office by calling 01-618 3310.
