Fianna Fáil Meath East Senator, Thomas Byrne will hold a public meeting on the issue of the possible introduction of a new charge on Septic Tanks in the Headfort Arms Hotel, Kells on Tuesday 13th September at 8pm.
‘Fianna Fáil Deputy Leader, Eamon Ó Cuív will be our Principal Speaker on the night as he has been leading the campaign against this new stealth charge on rural families’ said Senator Byrne.
‘This is a very important meeting and I would urge all those who may be affected by this new charge to attend and to bring their friends and neighbours. We will have a Technical Expert there on the night to answer any questions from the public’ added Senator Byrne.
‘Fianna Fáil is totally opposed to this charge on Rural Families. I always knew that Labour never understood let alone took an interest in Rural Ireland but I am shocked that Fine Gael would contemplate such a charge’ added Senator Byrne.
‘Over one million people will be affected by this and I am calling on the people of Meath to take a stand against the Septic Tank Charge by attending the public meeting on the 13th September in Kells’ concluded Senator Byrne.
