Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Finance Michael McGrath TD is now hiring for the position of Banking Inquiry Parliamentary Assistant. This is a full time position for the duration of the Inquiry, based in Leinster House.

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Attend Banking Inquiry meetings and briefings
  • Provide detailed research reports and analysis of issues relating to the banking inquiry
  • Liaise with members of the House, Inquiry staff and others
  • Manage emails and physical correspondence relating to the Inquiry
  • Manage communications on Inquiry related issues
  • Provide administrative support to Deputy McGrath in his role as a member of the banking inquiry
  • General assistance in support of the Deputy’s work on the Banking Inquiry

Skills required:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in economics, finance or law
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Irish banking sector and regulatory environment
  • Ability to prioritise work and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong communications skills both oral and written
