Elected 3 times in a row to Drogheda Borough Council. Their son Thomas was elected in May 2007 as Fianna Fail’s youngest T.D. . Joined The Fianna Fail Team officially in October 2007 and previously worked tiressly with the organisation in Meath East to secure his son Thomas’s election to Dail Eireann. Tommy has publicly thanked The Taoiseach for his extraordinary generosity with his time during the campaign when 90% of the media gave Thomas no chance of taking a second Fianna Fail seat in Meath East
