Elected to Athlone Electoral Area for Roscommon County Council, June 2009.

I am very proud of the amount and scale of my political achievements during the past five years as a county councillor. The following is a sample of initiatives I have delivered in recent years for my home community of St. Johns/Lecarrow:

• New sewage system and treatment facility for Lecarrow has been commissioned

• Toilet and pump-out facilities for cruisers at Lecarrow harbour secured

• New slipway, parking facilities and playground at Lecarrow harbour, under construction

• New water supply and associated infrastructure for Knockcroghery/St. John's area under construction

• 295K for Roscommon District League pitch and clubhouse at Lecarrow delivered

• A brand new sewage scheme for Knockcroghery secured

• 175K for St John's preschool secured

• 90K for St. John's Community Centre delivered

• 200K for Dominic's GAA club delivered

• 110K for St. Johns Athletic delivered

• 55K for Rahara Rovers delivered

• Various road improvements, road widening, removal of dangerous bends completed

• Countless individuals assisted with local authority issues

• Jackson Heights, Knockcroghery taken in charge by Councill after 25 years of unsuccessful lobbying
