Personal Details

Michael J, son of Kieran & Maureen, hails from Knockalisheen, Ballymacarbry and is the youngest of a family of five. Educated at Ballymacarbry N.S., Clonmel and Dungarvan Christian Brothers & University of Limerick He has been teaching for eight years and is currently employed at Lisronagh N.S., Clonmel. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration, Postgraduate Diploma in Business and a graduate Diploma in Primary Education. He also holds a Green certificate in Agriculture & a Financial Planning Certificate. He is seeking to continue a family tradition in Waterford County Council, beginning with grandfather Michael in 1917 and father Kieran since 1955 to-date. Former Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer of Nire Football Club Captained Nire at Minor, U-21 and Junior level. Holder of 3 Senior football County medals. Trainer of numerous underage teams in the club since 1993 Current Waterford Junior Football Manager Previously Minor & U-21 County Manager. Current Chairman and Director of Ballymacarbry Elders Housing Assoc since 2005.
