Personal Details

Michael was born in Killorglin, Co. Kerry. He is married to Mary since 1961 and they have six children all of whom are now married. He joined the Garda Síochana in 1960 and took up duty in Templemore after he completed his training. He was promoted to Sergt. in 1983. Later he was transferred to the Garda College where he was in charge of Technical Training until he retired in 1995. All his Garda service was in Templemore where he served on my voluntary organisations. Michael was elected to Templemore UDC at the last local election and then to North Tipperary VEC. While in the Garda Síochana he served on the GRA and AESI and was a member of the Garda Medical Aid Board for many years.
