Personal Details

Kenneth O’Flynn is one of the youngest councillors in the country. Despite his youth he brings a breath of experience in both politics and business. Kenneth is a lifelong member of Fianna Fáil and has been active locally and nationally through Ógra and his local Cumann; the Liam Healy Cumann. Kenneth’s business experience is wide-ranging having worked for an international property company and owing and operating his own businesses in Spain, Brazil and Ireland. Kenneth is fluent in several languages including Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. Appointed to Cork City Council in 2008 Kenneth was successfully re-elected in 2009.

Cllr. Kenneth O'Flynn has called on the incoming government to take speedy action to reduce the duty on petrol, it is estimated by international economists including those at The Goldman Sachs Group, that the price of a barrel of oil will reach $200 by the end of 2011 and that petrol will be as high as €1.50 per litre.
